description:
Anton could be described in facts: 173 centimeters tall, pale-skinned, slim build with athletic tones, dark blue hair, and greyscale clothing. Of course, if one described Anton like this, they would miss out on all the fantastic details such as: His hair, an unnatural blue-black, accents his cold and distant demeanor. His hands are scarred and calloused from various fights and mishaps, but they’re almost always covered in gloves. And his body, naturally slim, but putting on more and more muscle as his training goes from pure theory to actual work.
Instead of describing the facts of Anton, which are about as dull as the look in his eyes, one should keep in mind the feelings behind the boy. His body language is dismissive and arrogant, and he speaks to people almost exclusively in a patronising way. When angered, his body uncoils from the rigid, distant shell he keeps himself in, and he becomes looser, less organized, less thoughtful. His passion is what drives him, but he constantly seeks to put an end to this passion--both in his personality and his physical expression.
personality:
Balance a rock on a knife’s edge, then throw it through the air, and you have a rough estimation of the instability of Anton. Most of the surface of Anton is crystal pristine--he does his schoolwork, he tries hard, he keeps most of typical morals intact. And, if you don’t talk to him, he sincerely does seem like just a broody kid that tries hard to do what he loves.
Of course, the moment you try to interact with him, you’re begging that rock to fall over. He tries so hard to keep it in place, to not let it fall over and dominate him. But a word in the wrong direction, and it teeters over. A few punches and maybe a broken bone later, he’s back to his normal self.
history:
From a family of non-magic users, where he developed his magic startlingly early after his family was caught in a fae attack. His parents survived, but ultimately never were the same again. When Anton began showing signs of magic, his parents were terrified of him. He was whisked away to CAFE, where he had minimal contact with his parents, and each time they refused to discuss the magic in Anton’s life. As time passed, they blamed CAFE (and ultimately him) more and more for the trauma that happened.
In terms of CAFE, Anton proved to be exceptional at Illusionism, but surprisingly bad at everything else. Although people had preferences towards styles of magic, this seemed to be an almost exclusive bias towards one type of magic. He began training his Illusionism with a mentor, who has recently left him, and although he had exceptional talent, getting him to expand that talent was also difficult. It seemed he only cared about fighting, and the only way to get him to practice magic was to let him learn it on the go.
