[/b] The reason Rin's currently living in London is because he got a crush on a friend back in Japan about ten years ago (although that number could be changed) and so he ran the fuck away because he sucks at feelings.
Blind-date bystander. Rin's few friends set him up on a blind date with a mortal--someone very nice but completely unaffiliated with the whole 'magic' thing and completely, totally, 100% muggle. They can have a nice little slice-of-life fluff thing going on until one night we completely ruin their date by turning the bystander into a shifter or vampire or something along those lines.
Blind-date "bystander." Similar to above, except the bystander is actually also a magic-worker. Both are unaware of their shared magic-tude until their date is ruined, at which point they both respond with magic. If possible I'd like them to not click until their magic is revealed--at which point they begin to bond over it and legitimately fall in love.
A combination. This one's a little more specific. In this case, the Dude Rin ran away from didn't know about magic--until recently, when he was turned into a vampire/shifter/doppel/something bystander-style. In the process, he loses a limb, and travels across the world to get the best magical prosthetic, possibly to hide what happened. He doesn't know who the inventor is until he rings the doorbell and Rin answers.
